Job Objective
This is a unique opportunity for a disciplined and dynamic Global Equity Trader to join Silvercrest in a newly created role. The Global Portfolio Management teams are a highly collaborative group that offer competitive, performance-based compensation. We work in a fast-paced culture yet offer Traders the flexibility to hone and develop their craft to contribute to the team’s overall success.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in trading across the global markets, including developed, emerging, and ID markets, while maintaining strong relationships with brokers and adhering to best practices. Familiarity with Advent-based systems and the ability to support special requests from our global portfolio management teams is essential.
This role requires working overnight trading hours for Asia/ Europe, ensuring efficient trade execution and alignment with portfolio strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades across global equity markets in line with portfolio management instructions.
- Ensure trades are executed efficiently with minimal market impact and in compliance with best execution standards.
- Monitor global markets during live trading hours to identify trading opportunities and risks.
- Stay updated on market trends, news, and events that may impact trading strategies.
- Understand nuances in trading venues, settlement processes, and liquidity conditions in global markets.
- Provide insights and feedback to the Portfolio Managers on market conditions and opportunities which includes reporting on volumes and liquidity risks.
- Ensure adherence to portfolio guidelines, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements during trade execution.
- Proactively identify and communicate any trade execution challenges.
- Maintain accurate and timely trade records for compliance and reconciliation, striving for operational excellence.
- Collaborate with back-office and compliance teams to ensure seamless trade settlement.
- Use trading platforms and tools effectively to ensure optimal execution.
- Stay informed on technology developments to enhance trading efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers across all relevant regions.
- Regularly assess broker performance by creating scorecards and tools to track best execution
- Implement and perform transaction cost analysis (TCA) to measure trading efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify inefficiencies in trading workflows and propose solutions to enhance productivity and minimize errors.
- Help shape the trading desk’s strategy, tools, and processes.
The career path of a successful Analyst is to become Sector lead and Senior Analyst for the team’s Industrial-related industries. The speed at which the Analyst succeeds depends on their ability to collaborate with team members, concisely articulate investment ideas and buy/sell decisions, generate alpha for the portfolios, and continually innovate new ways to uncover unique, proprietary research.
Required Experience and Skills:

- Minimum 3-7 years of experience at a long only international equity asset manager, with a focus on global equity markets.
- Strong knowledge of execution strategies, benchmarks (VWAP, TWAP, arrival price, etc)
- Ability to perform post-trade analytics and utilize transaction cost analysis (TCA) tools.
- Strong knowledge of market microstructure and trading regulations.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and tools (e.g., Factset, Bloomberg, Moxy, OMS/EMS systems).
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage trading activities during non-standard hours, including Asia and Europe time zones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with portfolio managers and team members.
- A disciplined, process-oriented approach to trading with a focus on continuous improvement.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to upholding fiduciary responsibilities.
Salary Range
We anticipate the base salary range for this position at Silvercrest Asset Management Group LLC to be approximately $150,000+ USD. The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and role-specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest Asset Management’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentive-based compensation.
