Job Objective:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Manager specializing in tax compliance to join our team. This role is integral to overseeing and managing the preparation, review, and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax compliance, a strong understanding of relevant regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for various entities, including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns and compliance.
• Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance on complex tax issues, such as partnership taxation, state apportionment, and tax credits.
• Identify and resolve technical tax issues, ensuring compliance while minimizing tax liabilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline the tax compliance process.
• Leverage technology and software (e.g., UltraTax) to improve accuracy and efficiency in tax reporting.
• Establish internal controls and best practices to maintain high-quality tax compliance standards.
• Work closely with clients, external advisors and internal teams to gather necessary data and ensure accurate filings.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior tax staff, ensuring their professional development.
• Coordinate with finance, accounting, and legal departments on tax-related matters.
• Assist in the analysis of tax implications for organization and client transactions and business decisions.
• Support strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize the organization’s and client tax positions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in a public accounting firm or similar environment.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and trusts is highly desirable.
• Proficient in tax software and compliance tools (e.g., UltraTax).
• Advanced Excel skills is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, external tax advisors and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

We anticipate the base salary range for this position at Silvercrest Asset Management Group LLC to be approximately $150,00 USD. The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and role-specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest Asset Management’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentive-based compensation.
